But its not a solid piece of metal ,has a hole all the way through!The "male" spigot is 14mm in diameter.
The "female" part is 21mm long, with a diameter of 22mm. As stated, the shoulders between the two are square-not tapered or radiused.

No, the hole is not all the way through. It is solid other than the "female" section which has been drilled and tapped to a depth of 13mm to accept the stud of the pedal.But its not a solid piece of metal ,has a hole all the way through!
