I recognise the lady with the bouquet - you passed within feet of me at the Madison Genesis team bus  I was wearing CCC hi-viz gear on the other side of the fence.

Well for once my local town has done itself proud! WELL DONE BARROW - IN - FURNESS.
Barrow sure did!! I was chatting to the head safety marshall whilst we very packing up had he was vastly impressed on how well the crowd behaved, and that everything had gone as smooth a silk

I may do - it needs to be within Cumbria, and involve a road closure where my team's above average people skill's are required to 'absorb' the public's angst.

If I get the chance to do more, I'll definitely volunteer again (and get paid for doing so)... it's a win win

Peterborough had a good crowd and for once i cant fault the council as the event was well managed and promoted for several weeks around the city. Just wish Team Raleigh could gat things right-maybe they have other priorities.

Tom Gibson certainly looks like a talent for the future after that display
He looked a cool customer.
I still can't get my head round why Adam Blythe has gone down so many levels?

A contract is a contract, sometimes it's nice to race mostly at home. If the money and offer are right, why not? Perhaps more opportunities to cross the line first than would happen in a world tour team? First division to second or third might seem a big drop, but quite often everyone mixes it in some of the 2.1 and 2.HC national tours anyway. Racing is just as hard but the programme is different over a season. Making a decent living is the important thing for a pro, if a team puts good money in your bank and you get noticed with a few good rides or wins, why not?

I realise that you would know the ins and outs better than me but it seems like a huge jump from a protour team to where he is. Maybe there is another reason behind it is what I was thinking. No idea what but homesickness, stress? Maybe not. Just idle curiosity.

Tonight's stage in Durham looks like it should be pretty good, rooting for Madison-Genesis to do something.

Crowds thinner in Durham than in previous years.

Organisation went reasonably smoothly, although some of the 'brought in' stewards are a bit too keen to order folk about.

A handful of crashes - as usual - on the cobbles.

One rider needed treatment at the scene, he left in an ambulance, but was able to walk to it.

Can't spoil it by telling who won because I don't know.
