First ride of the season for me and visited by the p fairy a mile from home.

Now since last year I've changed wheels to Mavic (from Planet X) but also bought some PT levers as I like their other tools. I'm guessing perhaps the rim is a little deeper on the Mavic but the levers are soft as sh!t. Such hard going persuading the bead back in place, with the Parks basically just bending. Useless.

Anyone else? Which levers are good?

i got a set of these back in jan, and they work well. I can change a marathon plus tyre with no major struggles, well worth getting.

Schwalbe tyre levers.

My LBS mechanic uses them, advised me on them as he has never snapped one.

So far, so good as well. In fact i have a set on both bikes just in case.

Park Tools Tyre Levers. I hate them with a passion. I've put my black ones back in the saddle bag. They are those little ones that come with the kits you get in Halfords or Decathlon and work brilliantly.

There are techniques for getting tyres off and on rims without using levers. I usually carry some just in case... But havet had to use them for a while.

Thats me cursed!

i reckon any non lever techniques would struggle with marathon plus tyres, but please elaborate bud.

i would love to know how to remove a normal tyre without levers
