MvDP unsurprisingly a bit miffed at having a bottle thrown at him. Calls it attempted manslaughter.

Hope the perp does get prosecuted, if for no other reason than to set an example.

On a happier note I thought EF Oatly had a fantastic result in the women's with Borghesi second and Jackson 5th.

Someone had better tell him there's no such thing as attempted manslaughter. If there is an intention to kill then it's attempted murder.

I thought that initially, but I have no idea what language he was speaking, who translated it, or what the correct legal terminology is in (a) the Netherlands - which MVDP is more likely to be familiar with and (b) in France which would be the relevant jurisdiction. Not knowing any of that, I decided it was irrelevant.

Probably the best two bike handlers in the world... Cx and MTB benefits...

Of those who ride Road bikes, then yeah; there's a number of XC, DH riders who would be as good, if not better.
I've seen comments that Pog did CX as a youngster, but he's not as natural as them two, and there were a number of corners he was coming in too hot - and MvdP had let a small gap coming into the corner.

MvdP leaves a small gap deliberately when following others into a tight corner, and starts wider so that if the rider in front slides out, he has a fraction longer and slightly more space to react and is less likely to also be taken down.

I should have said road bike! Peter Sagan comes to mind too!
