I've got 3 bananas in my desk drawer. You can have them for £5 each or all 3 for £12.50 + P&P

I'll have to pass on your kind offer as they had some in but thanks very much anyway.

They do seem to be a little bit cheaper in this neck of the woods, are you being ripped off?

Talking to my Mum on the phone on Monday, I asked if she had plenty of food in the freezer. She said she had been running it down to empty it, defrost it and restock for Christmas... "but I've got pies, sausages, chicken, salmon, bread, crumpets...."

I don't think she'll starve.

My gran was the same - always had enough in to last a year or two...

We've got two freezers, one is for all my veggie grub. It's not because I don't want it in the same freezer as the meat, it's just that I have loads of Quorn pies and Linda McCartney sausages!

My local tea shop was right out of Battenberg cake today, I had to settle for something called Birthday slice to have after my sandwich at lunchtime.
Looks as if the panic buying is a nationwide phenomena.

Birthday cake they haven't managed to shift in the shop so slice it up and sell it in the cafe before it goes out of date. My son loves the stuff.
