Booked in on advice received for a brand new pair of 700 x 32 Marathon + next Tuesday. Had to wait as my LBS didn't have any in stock.

Also carry wet wipes. Your hands are bound to get covered in muck if you're stuck fixing at the roadside.

Same principle on the town bike I usually carry latex gloves, although I must admit on the road bikes I let my hands get dirty :blush:

Specialized Armadillo. Expensive but worth it. I remember coming home frome work about 11.p.m., during a storm, in the dark, and got 3 punctures, 2 pinch ones, and I had to be up for work again at 6.30 a.m. You learn from these things. I must be using the Armidillos about 10 years and never got a puncture. I still carry a repair kit but the spare tubes keep perishing due to lack of use.
