Ironically, that's its least flattering angle I think.

@Juan Kog yes that was very tidy indeed , there was a rather tasty red TR6 or the Bristol 407 but we can dream
Bristol cars are one of my dream cars , original six cylinder cars or the later V8 Chrysler models I don’t mind . As a child I lived in Bushey Heath ( Hertfordshire) there was a Bristol dealership there RF Fuggles .
I liked looking at the cars parked outside and I was even allowed in the showroom provided I didn’t put my sticky little hands on the cars .

There's a restorers/storage business near Holmfirth (the 'Last Of The Summer Wine' town), that also has a cafe there, that gets very busy
At its old premises, they had a Bristol Fighter in storage, that's their gull-wing doored, Viper V10 engined, (supposedly) 200MPH beastie

It might still be there, as I've not been since pre-Covid

There was also a Cerbera!

I'd have to find the file, but they also had a genuine Cobra 289 in storage :notworthy: :notworthy:

That was the economy version. They put out a few T versions with 1000+ bhp

Disappointing effort though as they had to put a tiny ducktail on the rear. Tsk.

This came up on my facebook page this afternoon, a four wheel drive tin snail.

The article with it said,

Citroen 2CV Sahara 4x4 (1958-1971)

The well known French 2CV was aircooled front wheel drive only. The name comes from it being 2 Taxable Horsepower. Originally fitted with a 7kW (9 hp) 375cc engine. 3.8 million were made from 1948.

The 2WD ones were designed to drive over freshy ploughed fields, they had good ground clearance and long suspension travel. It was only a matter of time before some went the next step!

The Sahara 4x4 has two engines, one front and one rear. They could be operated independently giving redundancy, a very handy feature when driving in remote North Africa! The traction was described as mountain goat like and running both engines doubled the top speed to 100 kph (60 mph)! 694 were produced. Vive La France!
