Watching Badminton, ladies doubles today China v Bulgaria. Excellent game to watch went to three sets with long rallies. The longest rally was 89 strokes!! 😥

Got home earlier on and caught up on some bits and pieces. Like a lot of people I was impressed by the slalom canoeing (or is it kayaking?) I've never watched that before.
Really pleased to see Antoine Dupont (and six other blokes) take gold in the Rugby sevens. I didn't see the earlier stages and apparently he didn't shine (so I'm being a bit ignorant with that "six other blokes" comment), but the final was the Antoine Dupont show. He's phenomenal and was badly missed by the rugby watching public in the 6N.

I’ve found the rugby sevens quite enjoyable too.
Shame Peaty didn’t get the gold but he seemed quite happy. It’s unbelievable what they have to put themselves through to stay at that level for 3 Olympics.

Really don't understand the boxing. I've only watched two bouts (Charlie Davison and Rosie Eccles), but both times, the declared winner has been the one who seemed to spend three minutes walking backwards while being punched. Surely there's got to be a way of doing it objectively?

Yep, and the individuals to come but Laura has dropped to third.
Still baffled by Ros's 15-point penalty from yesterday but then, who was set to gain the most from it....? Didn't matter in the end for the team medals but made it close for a while.
