Dan Wiffen a swimmer from Northern Ireland also won a gold, but elected to represent Republic of Ireland not GB & NI.
Strangely he also represents Northern Ireland at the Common Wealth Games.

Another compelling evening. You have to feel for the ladies' gymnastics team, because they had a blinder today. And then Andy Murray and Dan Evans pulled another rabbit out of the hat too.

Which is why I totally forgot about a couple of ebay auctions I wanted to bid on. Fortunately, one lot didn't sell, so not all lost.

I just love the Olympic games. I have been looking forward to it ever since the last ones.
