Cheers guys. We were christened today with rain and cow shoot (the joys of rural Somerset) though luckily not in that order so my tyres got a bit of a clean

Did a road test on it, took a while to get used to the total contrast to my hybrid but once the pieces came together and I got going it was *wonderful*. Cruised along then went for it and the guy I was with had to work to keep up.

Anyone else got images of the guy from the local bike store going with you on the test ride, then panicking when you start sprinting away on a bike you haven't bought yet?

After an absence from regular cycling of more than a decade, I decided to invest in a road bike today to get me back in the saddle. Choose a Lapierre Audacio 400TP and will be collecting in a fortnight - don't tell me the investment wasn't worth it! . Felt good on test ride and it's had mixed reviews on cycling websites, but I decided to take the plunge anyway.
