I was on a bus with my friend about 20 years ago, and he ate his ticket. The conductor asked to see his ticket but all he had was a ball of wet soggy paper.
He got away with it too.

Trying to work out whether the lights were on in a bloody hire car was a game. Sidelights were on all the time, lighting up the dashboard so it required a lot of fiddling to work out which of maybe 3 different light switches actually did what I wanted, given it was hard to tell under streetlights. And then trying to find out how to open the petrol cap was another game. Thankfully it had a proper handbrake exactly where expected it to be else I'd have been really cross
