Scientists were first discovered by Admiral Jacob Rees-Mogg in 1723, on an expedition to Baffin Island, on the east coast of Canada.

Originally known as “Baffins”, but this became “Boffins” when spoken in Rees-mogg’s strangulated Etonian accent.
