Colonel Oliver North was named after North America.

After starring in “Diamonds are Forever”, Sean Connery decided to leave the James Bond role, and a search for a successor began.

Dennis Waterman was the early favourite, but he was rejected by Cubby Brocolli due to his unreasonable demands, including an insistence that he was to sing the theme song. A duet with Shirley Bassey was proposed, but Waterman rejected this offer outright.

The role was eventually offered to Roger Moore, who made no singing demands.

Genius! I had to Google this to make sure it wasn’t true.

Colonel Oliver North went to military academy with Colonel Sanders, as they were both Colonels in the Army Catering Corps.

Both then left the army and followed careers in the fast food business. Colonel Sanders’ business was extremely successful. Colonel Oliver’s chain of sandwich and crusty bread shops was successful in the 80s, but went bust in the 90s, so he returned to a military career.

For every thought you have, a surge of electrical currents from your brain release an unknown number of neurochemicals, responsible for the operation of your nervous system.

Just have a think about it!

Alan Sugars first name is really Cedric, but he changed his name in honour of his hero, Alan Partridge. To this day he refuses to believe that AP is not real.

Alan / Cedric wanted to use "Back of the net" as his catchphrase in the Apprentice, but the BBC wouldn't allow it.
He then had to use "You're fired", even though he'd not actually hired anyone at that point.
