Odd factoid, each leather boot size 8 or above could absorb, 11 litres of water each helping you kick the heavy leather balls
Did we have litres back in the 60's?

The first pair of football boots noted in history are those made for King Henry VIII of England, who ordered a pair from his Great Wardrobe in 1526.

Henry the 8th was actually only the second king to bear the name Henry. As you know, in later life he bloated out to immense proportions. The quacks of the day bled him so much that he lost a phenomenal amount of weight, and weighed barely an eighth of his previous portly mass. The people of England called him Henry the Eighth (of his previous weight) to distinguish him from the previous King, Henry the Bloater.

The ancient Incas called the pineapple the "floppidiccidonga" (roughly translated as "Droop Fruit") for it's properties as a passion-killer.

Ironically, doctors advise anyone taking ED drugs like Viagra to avoid consuming pineapple juice

Dr. James Naismith, a physical education teacher at the International YMCA in Springfield, Massachusetts invented the game of Basket Ball (now called basketball) in December 1891 as a way to occupy his students indoors during the cold winter months.

The first game was played with a soccer ball and a peach basket attached to the wall 10 feet above the floor.

Two skydivers died in a routine jump on Thursday, 11th August 2016, in Oregon after their parachute turned out to be a bear, authorities said.

“The cause of death was being eaten by a bear. They never even reached the ground,” Klaus told Oregon television station KPDK.
Dontcha just hate it when that happens
