In the 1860s, a poor farmer from Llanfihangel Abercywyn could not afford to buy a cheese press, so he crafted one from fallen headstones taken from the local churchyard.

One of the inscriptions, ‘In memory of David Thomas’, was etched into the circular cheeses. He sold his produce in St Clears market and customers dubbed it "Resurrection Cheese".

Serena Williams originally wanted to take up womens cricket as a profession. However she could never get cricket pads that fitted her so she played without them. In one match she got badly bruised and was heard to say "sod this for a game of soldiers" before chucking her bat in the bin.
Next day she went out and bought a tennis racket.
The rest is history.

Venus Williams was the bowler. She gave up cricket because one arm looked underdeveloped.

In a 1998 match against Mary Pierce, Venus struck a serve that registered 127 mph on the radar gun. At the time it was the fastest serve in WTA history. In 2007, she hit a 128 mph serve at the French Open.
