Oasis reunion? 2 ageing camels meet up at a waterhole in the desert? Am I close?:scratch:

Apparently they have added three more cash-ins, err sorry, gigs to the schedule, so there are now 17 dates. What's the over/under on how many will actually take place, given that there is almost certain to be a bust-up between the brothers at some point backstage? I'm going optimistically for 9.

As for the music, they did a couple of good songs (I'll admit I have a few on iTunes), but they weren't that much better than a whole bunch of other bands around at the same time IMHO.

No camels are more even tempered and less likely to spit at you

I think 9 is about right

Probably a few where either only one turns up or one is so off his head that he can;t function

then lots more headlines about the terrible break up and the trauma of the fans who have missed out

either way - as I don;t thin it has been mentioned yet

by pure co-incidence Noel has just got a £20m divorce bill

so at least someone is happy about the tour (his ex-wife in case that was not obvious!)

The thing that irks me is her is clearly not being done out of any artistic desire or drive, but purely to top the fans to pay Lame's divorce settlement. A horribly cynical way to treat those that love and adore their work and even them.

I did wonder when the "it's a cash in"/"they've got bills to pay" headlines would start up. Quicker than I'd expected, and it'll probably all be forgotten by the time the gigs start next year.

And honestly, if you're a fan, you're not going to care. Personally I can't stand them but it's been fun hearing tales from my fiancée who's seen them live a couple of times. You can't put a price on those kind of memories.

In my case I sort of can when Maiden unexpectedly kicked up a notch and the six beers I'd carefully transported from the bar went all over everyone in my immediate vicinity so that was £50 gone for no reason other than enthusiasm.
