One thing to note about glasses with cool reflective lenses - your nose is at increased risk of burning. Evidence is my rudolf appearance despite it being nowhere near summer

If some one asks about Oakley's you always get the peeps saying get cheapo cheapo.
Very funny that. Do you honestly think that someone asking about Oakley's would even consider Lidl or Aldi?

Ive had cheap glasses and they aint worth the hassle, broken arms, bits loose and falling off etc.
I have tifosi's atm and whilst there comfortable they dont look that nice.

I have radar path and radar lock, along with half jackets and thumps.
As a cycle specific pair of glasses the locks are the best IMHO, the paths seem to direct wind straight past my ear canal which can be pretty noisy at times.
The optics of all Oakley glasses are great, I prefer the polaroid lens

So last year boyo you need the fstasfck Cav ones to be 2 kl 4 skl! And then flog me your radarlocks at mates rates :highfive:

There's also this: I am still wearing a pair of Oakley's I bought in 1989.

That's a good point, but I counter with this; every time I bought expensive sunglasses I have historically either lost or broken them within a few months. Cheap ones don't seem to suffer this fate. Kismet.

Hence my recommendation for Fakeleys with genuine Oakley lens. Same functionality but a lot less of a hit if (when, in my case) you lose them.

Can you get Oakleys with prescription lenses or do you have to get proper opticians shades?

I have an old pair that are about 10+ years old, and two newer sets bought a couple of years ago. The old pair are still pretty much pristine and have worn very well, despite some not-very-careful use. The new ones have both scratched the lenses and frames very easily, and replacement lenses feel like I'll be throwing good money after bad if they'll scratch just as easily.

I picked up a pair of Team USA edition Radar Paths and although no sunglasses actually suit my head as all seem to stick out the side I think they're fantastic. The red iridium lenses are immense, it's strange but the first time I put them on and let my mate put them on I instantly thought it's like HD lol. They really are impressive, I've always wondered why my cousin has so many pairs and now I know. Oh I got them from an outlet store at Goodwood today for a bargain of £65 instead of £130 so I was extremely happy as they were previously out of my price range.
