No, I don't work, nor did I ever work for Halfords.

But I have asked a similar question before:

I saw my local Halfords had a nice looking bike for sale spares/repair. No chain or rear deraileur. Anyone had any experience buying such, are they a reasonable deal if you're reasonably competent at fixing a bike?
