Not been out in two weeks

I very much hope to get out on the road on Sunday, for at least 10 miles. It will be cold but most of my favourite routes around here are clear. Only thing really to watch out is the Boxing Day traffic, everyone heading for the sales.

went out for a spin this afternoon in fog before it got to dark for a swift 12 miles or so.

Its the first ride in a week and only the 3rd in 3 weeks so i was going stir crazy

Me too. Just went into town but I decided to go the long way off-road which was interesting on non-studded tyres.

It was a very slow ride, the thick slush and mud made for resistance training rather than speed work, I don't think I went over 15mph. I'm immensely impressed with the Kenda Nevagal tyres, which found grip in all sorts of places, I had very few moments even riding up a frozen wooden bridge over the Thames.

The fog on the way back was pretty cack, though. I couldn't find a setting on the lights which gave me a good view of the surface in front of me, so wimped out and came back on the road.

It seems like forever since I've been out, finally today the ice is gone, the sun was even out this morning. Trouble is, I think I've got the flu now

Hoping to get out for a quick spin tomorrow, only done 2 commutes all month so really need a ride.

I've still not been out since I started this thread. Honestly!

Most recently the weather, but more realistically a promotion at work has made my working hours long, so it is dark before and after work, and my weekends are too busy.

However, I WILL! get back out again as soon as the milder weather returns.

No excuses (apart from the weather ) i have been leaving home at 6 am and not getting back till 7.30 pm most days mtfu

I finally got out today after about a week and a half, I can tell I've lost a little bit of fitness, but I'm sure it's something I can get back pretty soon. I'm just hoping that's more or less it for the white stuff. Once it comes, it sticks a while.....

same here just about 2 weeks due to bad weather and illness if ok 2moro will drag a bike out and start commuting again hooorah

This month for me has been pathetic only 29.2 miles, it can only get better
