Cycling Excusiast
I've been trying to get a good route and as cheap as possible from London to Bruge. It can't be high mileage as my partner who's new to cycling hasn't got a lot of miles in his legs.

We don't have folders, we need to take camping equipment and need to keep costs as low as possible.

If anyone has ideas I'd be well impressed.

Glad she likes the bike, got to beat a heavier mtb!

Night Train

Maker of Things
Sorry, Night Train but, well, you've got a Night Train so I'm not that sorry. Wanna swap?

You are welcome to what I have left of the Night Train in exchange, I sold it years ago to fund setting up a workshop and only have a set of black brake and clutch levers left.;)

I have been looking for a Brom for a while now, since riding a six speed a few years ago. The last affordable one I found Arch got there first and claimed it. I even had to go and check it out for her and pick it up!

I should put in a wanted ad for one.

Quagga

Almost extinct
I'll post when I've determined the full spec. I bought it round the back of the status from some chap...

Actually, it's Quagga's, he posted about it a few days ago. A most thoroughly decent chap, who even wanted to get me some appropriately sized tubes as he hadn't got any with him.

I'm glad you liked it, and I'm even more glad that the six years of sitting in a cupboard didn't lead to any catastrophic failure as you merrily cycled off!

Pictures for those that can't wait are here http://www.cyclechat.net/gallery/album/16171/295-quaggas-brompton/ although of course the title of the album is now inaccurate

Sorry.... I am eternally grateful. I  my Brompton. Even bought it a bag last week.

You know you're welcome to borrow it if you ever need to. But you have Granville, the Hungarian prodigy! ;)

So, does anyone fancy doing the Harwich > Hook > Bruges > Eurostar > London trip on a folder? I fancy it, but would rather have some company.

You're looking for the sort of person that would tour Champagne on a Brommie, I reckon.
Surely no-one is that mad

I was planning to do it on my road bike. But if doing it on my 3 speed Brommie (lately of London to Paris fame) will embarrass you into joining us then you will have company (apart from the last bit - real bikers don't do Eurostar!).
