Come on then, full spec, colou,r etc...
I'll post when I've determined the full spec. I bought it round the back of the status from some chap...

Actually, it's Quagga's, he posted about it a few days ago. A most thoroughly decent chap, who even wanted to get me some appropriately sized tubes as he hadn't got any with him.

The bike is a six speed (or it will be after a bit of adjustment  ) in dark green with rack, dynamo, bell and even a Brompton pump, and it's a very unusual ride, although not as different as I expected, given the small wheels and huge stems. I've already had complimentary comments, just walking through a station with it folded.

He is, apparently, called Bentley. For any further details on the name, I'm afraid you'll have to ask ttcycle, without whom "it" would still be called The Brompton.

He's between my feet on the train at the mo, so taking pix would earn me some funny looks, I'll see if I can get some images of the kids riding him later.

Yes I can vouch that Bentley is a lively machine. He needs a bit of clean but is looking well!

Well if there was a bike sale going on I couldn't not go and nosy at the new acquisition right?!!

Though to be honest, I should have left my bike at home and taken Bentley home with me!!

No no Bentley's rightful home is with you and your family. As discussed I'm sure he will make friends with your daughter

So, does anyone fancy doing the Harwich > Hook > Bruges > Eurostar > London trip on a folder? I fancy it, but would rather have some company.

What sort of mileage would that be?

The reaction went from "That's the most ridiculous bike ever!" to "This is the coolest bike!"

Note the change from "that" to "this", the thing which altered the feelings was riding it.

Sorry, Night Train but, well, you've got a Night Train so I'm not that sorry. Wanna swap?
So, does anyone fancy doing the Harwich > Hook > Bruges > Eurostar > London trip on a folder? I fancy it, but would rather have some company.
I just put Hoek van Holland to Brugges into Google and hit "walking directions". It showed a boat to Hull and back.

It also said...
Use caution – This route may be missing sidewalks or pedestrian paths.
... as if many would expect the seaways of the English Channel to have "sidewalks".
