What about winter road boots, no overshoes needed with these, as the goretex liner keeps your feet warm & dry.
I thought when you posted that that maybe I would see some reasonably priced ones (at last!) - but sadly no. Anyone got a lead to sensibly priced ones?

I ended up with 2 pairs of road shoes as I spotted a really good deal in a shop in Italy. So, I keep my nice white Italian bought, poser shoes for summer riding and the old ones get jammed into neoprene overshoes for the commute bike.
I still have some old Spesh shoes with MTB SPD cleats on them if anyone would like them for free.
