The first mile of my commute is downhill so usually frozen by the time I get to the foot of the hill. Can't wait to get to the bottom and start to generate some heat! This also means theat the last mile of my 12.5 mile commute home is all uphill:heat:

It was 6degrees when I left this morning.
So ss base layer, ss jersey, arm warmers, wind jacket and 3/4 leggings.
Stripped the layers off and pulled the 3/4's up as I got warmer.

I love the cooler weather ... most of my mileage on the bikes is completed between september-may.
In fact i cycled more miles in january 2012 than i've done during the whole of june/july/august!

..... although due to continued weight "distribution" from upper torso to legs, i suspect i'll feel the cold
more this coming winter. :cold:

i wore a L/s jacket and longs and was too hot this morning. It'll be shorts and T-shirt on the way home. Always difficult to judge the temp at this time of year and what to wear.

Still shorts and T shirt here, leave home at about 6:25 and if it feels cold I just cycle quicker. None of this arm and leg warmers in Sept nonsense....

Was a cold ride home this morning, temperature dropped quite quickly during the night to round 4c, glad I took my glove liners as my fingers were numb last time it got that cold.
Soon be time to dig out the winter tights :cold:

Fully agree. What are folk going to do when it actually gets cold?

They'll certainly not feel the benefit, as mothers everywhere love saying.

I agree the colder weather is refreshing but it stops me from cheating so badly by sweating out 2 kilos to make my daily weight target ;-)
