Nice to be cold

I for one am enjoying this slight reduction in temperature as we approach Autumn, I arrive at work without being bathed in sweat and it's nice to leave the house a bit cold and warm up by a bit of furious peddling!

My toes do not agree with that.
When I started off I thought I had dressed too lightly but seemed to put more effort in and heated up just nicely.

Was 8.1degs when I left this morning.
My cut off for armwarmers or long sleeves is less then 8.

Toes were a little cold but not uncomfortable.

That's the trouble this time of year, colder in the mornings, then warmer on the return journey, arm and leg warmers in use, my ears were feeling the chill this morning!

I wholeheartedly agree!

The Sun is a bit of a pain early in the morning, several times requiring the use of one hand to block out the Sun so I could see the road.
Then later on having the Sun directly behind me so the need to be extra careful with motorists in side roads or where the road narrows.

If you weren't sweating you weren't warm enough imo.

For me it was 4C yesterday & 6C today when I left the house. So tested out my thermal skin suit (fleeced & wind-proof) keeps me toasty warm really nicely & very comfortable with all the panel joins being in the right place. I really shouldn't get into the habit of riding to work in it though.

I have no idea what the temp was (BBC reckoned 11-13 ish) but this morning was comfortable in shorts and a vest- cool to start with but perfect by the top of the first hill!
Tis proper balmy down south!
