Henry Cavill

Or, if he was a bit younger, Sean Pertwee?
He can be as smart/dressed up as required, but also fight (see him as Alfred, in Gotham, & supposedly ex-SAS)

FOR ME, Cavill looks like Superman, and thus could never look like Bond. (but then, they are actors, and make-up exists ...)
Pertwee?? Yeah, you'd need a time machine for him to be in the running

Still younger than Roger Moore was???
The only Bond who needed a stunt double to run for him 😂

Enjoyed Theo James in the recent silly Guy Ritchie series he was in. Would work well I reckon.

Has anyone mentioned Taron Egerton? He was good in the Kingsmen films, and also excellent in Eddy the Eagle. A quick Google suggests that there were rumours he was going to get the part (back in March 2024) but looks like he says he would not be the right fit. I disagree. He may be baby-faced with the physique of a racing snake, but I think that adds to the under-dog type scenario. It would be no fun if you had Dwayne Johnson for example, as you'd expect a muscle-bound hulk to dispatch the villains post haste. Having a smaller character IMO forces them to use some good old British inginuity and cunning, and a swiss army watch
