I've never understood why Lewis Collins was never offered the job in the 80s rather than persisting with a clearly too old for the role Roger Moore.
Idris Elba would have been a good choice a few years ago, but I think he's a tad too old now especially as the next film would be at least a couple of years off.
Noel Clarke might be worth a look.
From the list above, probably Henry Cavill, although anyone but Tom Harding muttering his way unintelligibly through the script would be good.
