Hi, newbie signing in to say hello, plenty of miles under my belt but venturing into the world of a road bike for the first time since my teens (toooo long ago !!!!! ). Thought this would be a good place to start looking for some good advice.

:hello: Hi, been having a good look around the site and decided to join up and say hello rather than be rude and lurk.

Currently on a 20-ish year old bike that truly has seen better days, just gets me out and about with the kids (4 of them) but I want to start putting some real time and effort into cycling so looking for advice led me here.
I'm off to the beginners section now for some starting out hints :bicycle:

Hello. I have to say I am super happy about finding this forum. Even though most seem to be from the UK/Europe and I live in the US still the forum has been very useful to me... browsing and reading the posts here has been incredibly helpful. I discovered several links to info sites with really good info. Thanks for maintaining this forum!

Yup! Most of the people on this forum are from the UK - but there are an increasing number joining from around the world including the united states.

Shaun(the administrator :tired: ) should get all the credit for maintaining the site - it's just been revamped!!! ( :reading: Shaun's still reading the instructions ;) )
