Hi, newbie signing in to say hello, plenty of miles under my belt but venturing into the world of a road bike for the first time since my teens (toooo long ago !!!!! ). Thought this would be a good place to start looking for some good advice.

Hi, been having a good look around the site and decided to join up and say hello rather than be rude and lurk.

Currently on a 20-ish year old bike that truly has seen better days, just gets me out and about with the kids (4 of them) but I want to start putting some real time and effort into cycling so looking for advice led me here.
I'm off to the beginners section now for some starting out hints

Hello. I have to say I am super happy about finding this forum. Even though most seem to be from the UK/Europe and I live in the US still the forum has been very useful to me... browsing and reading the posts here has been incredibly helpful. I discovered several links to info sites with really good info. Thanks for maintaining this forum!

Yup! Most of the people on this forum are from the UK - but there are an increasing number joining from around the world including the united states.

Shaun(the administrator ) should get all the credit for maintaining the site - it's just been revamped!!! ( Shaun's still reading the instructions )
