Hi Victor (and other BV Forumites), welcome to Cycle Chat. Nice to have a bit of the good old fashioned rivalry. If you do make it to London be sure to let us know as i'm sure we can get some riding organised for you.

Meh... might as well join the throng!

I'm Victor, and also from the BV forums in (mostly) sunny* Melbourne, Australia. If my job ever allows me, perhaps I'll pay London a visit one day (my stepbrother and his fiance live there), and try out the local cycling culture

Cheers,

--- Victor.

P.S. Here's a gratuitous link (I believe she's one of yours? :o):

Welcome to the CC Forum abbs hope returning to cycling will help you recover from your illness(I'm sure it will).

All the best.;)

Maybe you should repost your thread in Beginners / Cafe' or the Mods could do it for you - so more people will see it.

Hello all.

I'm a disabled rider, lost left arm to a Tiger, from the Northampton area.
I ride a Trice Q recumbent trike and normally pull a large carry freedom trailer with it.

Luck .........

Welcome to the Forum Tigerbiten from Northhampton, there are quite a few recumbent bike owners on Cycle Chat.

Why not post something(a brief intro about your cycling outings should do) on "Beginners" or "Cafe". I'm sure there will be some recumbent owners in your area that will get in touch.

BLOODY HELL ... I'm keeping away from the Northampton area then!!!!

Sorry, crap joke I know - welcome to the forums and I'm pretty sure you'll be in good company as we have a good number of bent riders here on CC.

I tried riding one (two-wheeled bent, not a trike) myself, but didn't get to spend as long on it as I'd have liked. I've always fancied owning one, but don't have a big enough shed at the moment.

Anyway, have fun.

Cheers,
Shaun

Hello.

Our flashing 30 mph signs have just been removed - they were only here for a month. But at least we now know that over 50% of motorists triggered the lights!

Hello fellow cyclists

Hello all, I am Adrian from Llanelli (South Wales) just joined this site as it seems there are a lot of friedly and knowledgeable people on here.

I use a similar forum for my work as a self employed gas engineer and find it very informative, friedly and a damn good laugh sometimes.

I have done a fair bit of mountain biking over the years but currently have the road riding bug. Myself and 5 mates are currently training for a charity end to end ride in July of this year.

I am hoping i can pick some brains on here on loads of different aspects of cycling as my knowledge and bike mechanic skills are limited.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Cheers, Ade.

Hello from Herts

Hi All,

Just found this forum, looks fab. Bought a Brompton last year and *love* the thing, now looking for a road bike and would love advice. Will set up a new thread so as not to hijack this one!

Look forward to chatting!
