On the last CC ride (see the elevation) I only found on one occasion that I really wanted another gear. Really ? I'd have thought you'd have been fine. I was pretty OK (I'm on 52/42 and 14-28) and I'm not as young (and fit) as you are. :bicycle: However, I can imagine on longer hills I might just need that 25. I'm just not quite sure if I need to spend money on a new cassette or not. I probably need a few more 'longer' rides to be sure.
Agree there. I'm sure you need time and miles to adjust to the new bike and gearing - 60km round the Trossachs would be a good start .... :girl:

How about the £10 carbon seatpost on PBK? Might still be there...

How good can a £10 carbon seat post really be? Could I trust it? Also remember, someone else will be paying!

I couldn't find the original thread were this seatpost bargain originally came up, this was the closest match.

Anyway, was just about to head out today and was checking the bike over and noticed the seat felt a bit wobbly. A closer look revealed the post had cracked all the way through just about the collar. God knows how I didn't feel it at the end of the last ride.

Just thought I'd let people know. By the way, I know how to tighten carbon components
