So far so good (3 hours of trying) Gives a pretty decent workout too.
Only advice I can give till you get the hang of them is prop yourself next to a wall so you can lean with your elbow when needed. And you will need to, at least until the balance comes as its like cycling on ice at the star:laugh: but a lot of fun
Oh and never lose concentration:stop:

Not like a trainer , where you can watch movies or read ,You have to be very alert and aware at all times . Just when you think you have the hang of it , you fall off . Like many other things in life .

Couldn't agree more:laugh:

Although in today's workout the wall came in quite handy a few times, but I must say I did manage to maintain balance for most of the ride so I'm sure by the end of the week I'll have it cracked:bicycle:

Been using mine for winter training for 5 or more years. No spills to date, and far more enjoyable than turobs.

One thing that catches me out is looking down, if I look up & forward I'm okay but still learning.

Yes, but here is a word of caution, make sure that your kids aren't filming you........

HERE

But you are riding the like a pro. Steady as a rock. I'm less stable on a turbo. I now want rollers the turbo's so boring.

I have mastered the balance now although as stated above concentration is still a must!
But I was wondering is it just me. I feel knackered a lot quicker on the rollers compared to outside rides? Although, I am pushing harder but not overly so. Think the heat must have something to do with it too so I'll need to invest in a fan to keep me cool.
And does anyone else get static electricity shocks off the bike or off the wall next to you?

Yep, I kinda like it  It's all to do with static electricity. The same principle as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Van_de_Graaff_generator

If you are will and able to : Get a plug and a length of earth wire. Connect 1 end to the earth pin in the plug, the other end to the frame (metal Part) of the rollers. Plug it in to a socket and job sorted, no more sparks.

That said, if you are not sure what you are doing, don't do anything. Or find someone else to do it for you and blame them when it all goes wrong

I don't know if it's any help but I have a set of Tacx rollers and they raise the bike about 100mm off the ground so I made up small platform from two bits of 2"x 4" and a piece of mdf, it's only about a 12" X 18" but placed next to the rollers it gives me something to put my foot down on and makes it easier to get on and off them with.

Yes and along with that thought I was intending on building something like this think it'll make riding slightly easier^_^
