new rack has 'spoiled' my bike -according to son!!

I've just ordered a set of the Crud race guards for my Orbea, it hurts but they're needed for the commute.

I finally got around to having a rack fitted on my mountain bike-mainly for the commute to work as I hate wearing a back pack! It has to be a certain type apparently because of the disc brakes but seems ok. Ny son said I have ryuined my bike and my street cred has gone! which is funny as I didnt think I had any at all! ah well! wait till he sees the black reflective tape I have ordered. Hopefully he wont speak to me again -even when he wants to borrow money!

You could do what I have which is to add reflective spoke strips and my new tyres also have a reflective strip - pannier rack (disc brake type but I have no rack bosses so it is the rear skewer type as well, handlebar bag attachment, 2 front and 1 rear light, 2 bottle holders and a pump, front mud flap for commuting and then the neoprene front fork crud catcher - there is no way anyone at the school I work at will knick it then and as one person above me pointed out - your son will never borrow your bike.
