I wasn't planning on a new project, but the recycling center only wanted £4 for this. There's no play in any of the bearings, brakes work, and as far as I can tell it just needs a clean and a new tube.

I've had more than my fair share of bargains from this particular recycling center, (Refurbish Totnes) Saturdays are particularly good.

Interesting bike. Do you know anything about the brand?
Looks a bit hipsterish. Straight bars for town use but with a close ratio cassette. Could be ideal for such environments.
Worth the asking price for the gear train components alone. Nice find.

I didn't know the brand but the bike looked too nice to pass up. They're a small Danish firm based in Copenhagen. They make old school inspired, steel framed, city bikes, which seem quite well thought out and put together.

I'm miles from the nearest city but think it might be worth setting up as a rural hack bike. It's 1x8 speed, which I happen to have spares for.

You might be able to get a bit more if you remove the mudguards.

I'd be interested in building it up into a steel rimmed cx bike to bash around on. Trouble is, the cheaper cx tyres tend to start at 35mm.

The tyres are holding air and everything appears to be running perfectly, including the indexed gears. At the moment I'm inclined to move it on ASAP and not get too involved, it's a nice ride but the frame feels a tad too small for me.
