If you're going to race learn to get on and off at speed too. That's an art form on rough muddy ground. If you're not going to race don't bother, you'll probably kill yourself

Currently I have absolutely no plans to race - however I don't have any friends with cx bikes to knock around with to see if I fancy racing lol.. I may learn the process though just so I can have all the gear without showing the no idea part haha!!

That's no problem, just go and enjoy it. I enjoy a cx bike more than my mtb.

If you ever want to see a good cx race go and see the 3 peaks! Look on YouTube.

Yes I do fancy seeing that..

I used to ride a mountain bike but I sold it and didn't replace it. I never took the time to learn any major skills and only really used it downhill..
