So technically I will be a beginner as I have never ridden a CX bike. I know I need to learn to bunny hop - what else should I learn? Does anyone else ride a CX bike in my area of South East Kent? I found a place to practice at least..

To hold down tube put shoulder through and cling on to the closest handle bar? I have seen two techniques but that looks the easiest to me.. It will take practice though

I will have a play with the positioning.. Which CX do you ride? I'm getting the Cube Cross Race 2014..

Looking at Deore XT PD-M780 pedals too.. Ordered bottle cage and I should look for lights too?! Got to find some shoes too - I can't decide which brand - want warm ones.. Should I get the studded shoes or not?

Any other kit or needs that I should look at? I'm only kitted up for road bikes.. And I'm too lazy to keep swapping lights over etc so that's why I'm thinking of another set..

I used sidi spds they have a good grip and you can add studs if you want to. I did have a specialized s-works tricross but sold it. Was buying another cross bike this weekend but the bloke I was buying it off has sold it, even after arranging a deal with me!

Will look at the shoes - thank you

Dammit - that is a shame about the new bike. Where will you look now for a new one? What made you sell the tri-cross?
