I’ve been trying to find out what this bike is but with no success. Some of the badges are worn. Can anyone assist me? 1974?

Sort of reminds me of something from the brown brothers stable. Those chrome decals could be bought over any bike shop counter BITD

Loads of manufacturers made bikes for the catalogues, Empire Stores, Grattans that sort of thing so a real meting pot.

Those lugs are distinctive, the chain-ring might provide some clues as well.

How wide is the bottom bracket shell? If it's wider than the standard 68mm then it probably came from the Raleigh factory. I've never seen one that has been welded before though.

What are the numbers on the rear hub?
May need a wipe with a dry cloth to bring the numbers up.

Or a very tall sprog.

Early to mid 70s is my guess. Sadly a low rent bike when new, not good quality at all with riveted stays and BBOT (bent bit of tin) welded bottom bracket not worth much today.

Try looking on the rear of items such as brake calipers etc for a date code, although '74 seems plausible.

Rear hub serial number is 74 - 018731 …and it’s 68mm wide.

There is also something written between the 74 and the 018731 but I cannot make it out. Its a cursive "Erho" or maybe “Echo”.

“7304” on the backside of the brakes.

It’s a 26 inch bicycle.

In which case could indicate a '74 build date which would fit in. I think it could from eastern Europe somewhere as many of those Soviet satellite countries were making cheap goods for the west at that time.
As @midlife says probably destined for catalogue stores.
Even if you could read the stickers it wouldn't help as these would have been changed to suit the customer.
