How could Wiggle lose so much stock without realising?

Maybe it was just £150k worth of Haribo

£83k cost price and £153k retail...
Suddenly my £5 off when I spend £50 doesn't seem quite so exciting!

I shall be asking for Thorntons with my orders from now on.

It will have not gone unoticed, but trying to find out where stock is going and put the finger on someone can be very hard , especially without making it obvious you are watching

It ran for 2.5 years so it took them a while to get it sorted. He was sneaking two items out a week on average by the looks of things. After the first few he probably started doing it out of habit.

It's also a bit stupid selling stuff that's only sold by Wiggle - DHB ?

Blame Wiggle !

(PS it's a thread on Bike Radar and had everyone in stitches - was the OP that was an idiot - anything goes wrong, it's Wiggles fault).

That is some bad three way matching in finance...hmmm order was for 10 items, Invoice is for 10 items, but only 9 items received apparently?

Should not have taken a supplier to spot it.

He was the goods-in manager. It might have "been received and gone missing later", or "only 9 items were ordered"

I knew of a goods-in manager that got caught doing the same thing in a Big Named Partnership warehouse. He basically just funnelled stock into a differnt lorry and got it delevered elsewhere. Nobody asked any questions as it was his job.
