An update on my frame which I thought was a Woodrup turned out to be a Flying Scot from the 1950's. It was discovered by comparing the approximate size of the head badge holes and position with pictures on the net. The vertical position and spacing of just over an inch helped to narrow the search down. A chance read about Flying Scot cycles and the front fork strengthening plates on the inside near the crown helped me to pin down the maker. I discovered that the strange Christmas tree stamp next to a single frame number letter was a 4. It was the forth frame made that year. The person who sold the frame to me assumed that the inner fork strengthening plates were a feature of Woodrup Cycles. He was correct as I have a Woodrup frame which has those plates with playing card aces cut into them.
