From a ride to look at the floods at Crew Green yesterday:

I’m sure they used to say these floods were a once in 100 year event….it’s now a once in 12 months event and to think we were in drought only 4 months ago.

Growing up through the 70s, 80s and 90s we didn't get floods anything like this, then the big flood of 2000 happened and we were told it was a once in a lifetime event.

I've been off the bike because of a twanged back (ironically it went while I was changing a tyre at home, sitting down), but it seemed to be good enough today to go out and enjoy a bit of cold sun on the ride into Exeter Quay for coffee & cake:
