Appreciate the concerns though! very happy with the bike, been toying around with it, to get used to any repairs that i might need to do, and i have no idea why, but the left gear shifter (for the big cogs at the front) no longer clicks when its in the middle setting/gear... but it does for the other 2, and im pretty sure the lever should click when its in second also... or am i being a fool?

im no expert but arent there two modes with bar end shifters, friction and index ? Could it be its not fully engaged in one or the other, friction doesnt click or something (wish I knew exactly what i was talking about

actually doog, you could be on to something their, im going to have another look at it, see if i can find a switch or setting from friction and index/clicking what ever its called!

Rode it today with the brookes seat for the first time and OMGGGGGG what a huge difference, im going to ride it some more, and perhaps start a new thread recommending the brookes, but i was amazed, with my last (standard) seat that came with the surly, 20 mins of cycling and the discomfort would set in!

With this after about 40 mins it started to get a bit, "less comfy" but after the cycle i had no lasting pain. It was a huge improvement overall.
