I was going to buy a rack for £10 in the recent lidl sale but ended up buying this diamondback off ebay , with rack for £20. It also takes me into the territory of big wheeled bikes as opposed to 26inch wheel mountain bikes. The hoipe being that it will facilitate me being able to doing 20miles in one hour which has so far eluded me - and which i am reliably informed is base level performance for respectable club riders.

Seems to go ok although obviously it has yet to prove its trustworthiness.

Thanks.
I was really just buying it for the rack and the wheels as i intended to put the wheels on my mountain bike but deeerrrr of course although the wheels fit the brakes dont line up so unless i do some welding i think ill just try it out as it is. Just as you get used to one bike you have to change bike.

Looks good, always handy to have a spare bike.

Allways handy and its got a spring suspension seat so its as comfortable as sitting in the hand of a giant while you cycle - most comfortable bike i can remember using.

I picked up one of my bikes for £ 20 and used it for 5 years as it was before converting it to a fixed gear. You can certainly pick up some bargains if you look around.

Thats about 1p per day. And presumably still going strong.
Bargain.

Nice one! I love my Ebay special steel MTB. It looks awful, but I put a pair of Conti slicks on it so it's quick. Some Pepsi Max type on a fancy MTB gave it a dirty look the other night at the lights. So I waited for the next hill and cruised past while he was huffing and puffing out of the saddle. Immature, yes, but fun.

Cracking find. Mudguards too so you'll stay dry over winter

20mph average though - That's pretty damn fast even for a semi-pro on some sub 9kg carbon thingy. I think if you manage to keep an average over 17mph on a flat bar bike you'll be doing pretty well.

Thank god you're all discounting the 20mph being what would be expected for a club. Though I've never joined one, I was always happy with my 18mph until I read that!
