My daughter's bike was stolen today.

It cost £20 on the 'bay, so no great material loss.

A colleague's £1000+ bike was also stolen, and reading between the lines ours was probably wanted as a getaway vehicle. So we were the innocent bystander.

It's highly frustrating because it was a bloody good eBay purchase. A solid steel-framed mountain bike type, on which everything worked with minimal adjustment, and it came with two good mudguards. And very likely it's already been thrown away.
