Nicked from the bike racks today

Nicked this afternoon around 2pm outside PureGym(Broad Street Plaza), Halifax, there is cctv but waiting on police. 3 lads snapped off the bike lock and took the bike.

Doesn't sound as though the bike lock was up to the job.

Was the battery still on the bike?
not sure how much difference it makes to the average numpty that nicks bikes - just wondering
