Just had a battle with our mop when trying to replace the head no instructions on new one so looked at old one and it has instructions IE stand on old mop head when it's on the floor and pull upwards and get presto
And when that doesn't work, try twisting and pulling. And when that doesn't work (because it won't), stick the pole in a bike workstand and hit the head with a hammer. (An impact mechanic's advice.)

Cycling in Canada. Vancouver city there are dedicated green lanes for cyclists and E scooters. The majority of cycles are E bikes most have large off road tyres. There are also quite a few American style large handlebar cycles too.
Country cycling mostly racing style bikes the country roads are very traffic light. I’d feel very safe cycling in Vancouver and Alberta where we are now.

Turns out Brompton puncture was a slit in side wall. One tube patched and holding air, but need new tyre to prevent repeat. Now ordered.

It's been a warm and sunny day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well. Still struggling some with hayfever, and still tired from not having slept that well the previous night. Had a morning catching up on chores after a bit of a lazy weekend - watched the touring cars from Donington yesterday and largely did diddly squat. Laundry done and plants all watered amongst other things. And the last of the dessert apples that I have left from the community orchard are in the fruit bowl.

Had a lovely luncheon of seeded toast, Polish sausage, Cornish Blue cheese (from Waitrose, highly recommended), a red orange, the last of the raspberries and a :cuppa:

After, took the parental up to the quack to book her spring Covid jab and to drop off her prescription. On return, seeing that the snooker was over for the afternoon, I dusted off the mower and cut some grass.

A quiet evening of good food and some snooker is anticipated, albeit both tonight's matches are poised at 12-4, so there's the possibility that there may be only a single frame to play in each. Failing that, there's also "Secrets of the Supermarket Buyers"
