I had a ride with my friends this morning. The start was delayed as I had a PSA blood test. It was a pleasant ride the 7 of us. We stopped in Lacock for tea.
The ride home was marred by a group of old people pedestrians who decided to annexe the shared cycle/ footpath for themselves. They had blocked the pavement saying that I should be in the road. I told them that there were signs showing a cyclist and a person indicating that it was a shared path. They argued that is was meant for children. I told them that the path was specially made as part of the Sustrans network. I also said that motorists would complain that we were not using a cycle track built for us but using the road. The Council is at fault by painting cycle lanes in the road as part of a traffic calming measure. New people to the area think that this is the cycle lane. I won't ride in the road if I can help it as the vehicle will pass by really close.

I think there are some people who must wake up angry.

It's been a warm and sunny day here chez Casa Reynard, albeit that it's now clouded over.

Slept really well, which is good, but still feeling tired / stressed. At least the lady issues have mostly taken a hike. Until next month, that is. I had a gentle morning just catching up on some little things. Also did a load of laundry and went around the house catching cobwebs with a feather duster.

Had a lovely luncheon of crusty white bread, homemade coronation chicken, smoked cheddar, fruit and a :cuppa:

Then took myself off to Tesco, as I saw on their website that the sides of salmon were on a better-than-half-price clubcard offer. This was the one thing that I really wanted out of their Easter offers, so didn't want to leave it to chance. Salmon was successfully acquired - I am actually sharing it with the friend I go dog walking with - and I also picked up some very posh sausages, some spinach and some HCB on yellow sticker.

Just going to have a nice quiet evening.

Nicely timed evening trek to B&Q and Aldi. The sun providing a bright rear illumination there and on the return back west it had dropped sufficently to act as uplighter rather than a blinding glare in the sunglasses. Dead batteries disposed of in B&Q, sunflower hearts feeder purchased in B&Q and pork mediallons amongst the Aldi purchases.
Back home opened a letter than came this morning which had all the indications of being junk but transpired to be a £50 cheque from the Nationwide because they have acquired Virgin Money. Not sure on the logic but definately not complaining.
