There used to be a guy who did that in one of the streams over where dad lived. We watched him do it and you could see the little bits glinting at the bottom of the pan.

Good morning from Suffolk where, for the first time in weeks, we have proper rain plus a few earlier rumbles of thunder. Coffee has been had.
With a mixture of the weather and needing to be in for a delivery (no time slot given yet), today will be a mostly indoors day doing domestics. Should there be time, I may also get the clippers out as the hair's getting long and untidy.

I have completed my taxes.
If there's been any rain its been very light. Really should not have got up this morning. Could not find the work laptop charger so presumed I had left in the office, but no sign of it. Acquired a spare only then to find once again heavy bird droppings on the car roof. A blasting with the hose pipe required and then I found the laptop charger.

A successful beverage morning. I have fresh milk so I kicked off with a pot of tea. Then coffee time rolled in and it tasted good. So good I'm now going to chance a second. Far too often when I start with tea, the coffee fails to satisfy. Or when I start with coffee, the tea takes its turn to disappoint.
I have nest news. The magpies that built one nest and abandoned it only to start another have now abandoned again. But a pair of crows have decided on a second site outside my kitchen window for nesting. Noisy buggers but that's neighbours for you.

Good news - the rain has stopped and the sun is making occasional appearances.
Bad news - the expected delivery has been delayed until Wednesday. At least most of the regular domestics have been doing and I'm having a coffee and a cheese roll while waiting for the washing to finish before I go food shopping.

I'm somewhat surprised that a day's overtime in Westminster last Saturday magically transported 55,000 tons of coal to Immingham in 4 days!
