Evening.
I went out and caught fish and chips. I thought that * would pop into Halfords before getting the chips. I needed to get some antifreeze for my wife's car. They've hardly got any stock in there! Dick head management. Hardly any oil to choose from. Bored husbands who would just pop in because they were fed up with being dragged round clothes shops won't be able to buy stuff on the spur of the moment because they haven't got stuff to sell them! Bl**dy loonies!

Food has been prepped for Sunday's day out - all I need to do is remember to remove it from the fridge on my way out. The best way I've found to do this is to hang the house keys from the fridge door handle.

It's nearly time for this evening's hot chocolate and then an early night as I'd like to be on my way by 7am which means at least a 6am alarm clock given how long it takes me to get going these days.

A potato masher / ricer will do in a pinch. Some elbow grease may be needed.

And watch out for pinging chickpeas. DAMHIKT

Have got the ingredients for this simple if cheaty recipe. It's got garlic. And has a good review average.

Couldn't find any tahini, so peanut butter it is. That'll wind up the purists.

That's actually pretty close to what I do, except I do it by eye and by taste and maybe use a little less tahini. The one ingredient missing in the above is ground cumin. Oh, and I use bottled lemon juice.

The beauty of this is that you can adjust the seasonings to taste.
