Sunday did not go entirely to plan. The morning was lovely - two garden centres with Miss Hebe who was happy as Larry in the houseplants section with her birthday money. Got home and started not feeling too clever, managed one parsnip from the gorgeous roast the mister had made then spent the afternoon in the bathroom and the evening in bed.

I wish I could throw out our ironing board.

You mean Surfboard simulator!

It is usually both calming and ethereal to rise each morning to exotic birdsong far from the norm in Cambs ..... Until a koel made the copperpod tree just outside our bedroom its home last week. Not very calming to be woken up before my alarm by its strangely piercing calls!

That was your early morning wake up koel.

A belated good morning all as I had a late night half watching the Superbowl. It's a lovely morning here in this corner of Suffolk with clear skies and light winds - not a balloon or other unidentified flying object in sight.

I keep getting messages from the local Mazda dealer about my car being due for its MOT & service so I may go out for a bike ride later and book it in, then continue out to Stowmarket for lunch and get the train home.

Mine went years ago but I did keep the iron. If anything really needs done the kitchen table with a towel on top is good enough. The top is solid wood so will not come to any harm.

Yep know all about that my mum would do that when only a few bits needed ironing.
Well green light from Mrs 73 so it's going out for scrap.

Turning out to be a sunny clear blue sky of a day. Still bitter in that wind but nice and dry. Mrs 73 is now on her way back from Germany so will go into town later for a few treat for her when she gets back tomorrow.
The pantry is looking a lot better can now get to stuff and my park tool bike stand now stays in place. Thanks to the safety chain that came with new cooker. Which i've screwed to the cable boxing. Just need to find a place for all the beer forgot id got that many bottles.

The woman in front of me in Tesco this morning had bought a very spherical red cabbage. Every time the conveyor belt moved the cabbage rolled around knocking her other shopping over.
I was going to offer her the carrot I'd bought for Bonnie to jam it in but thought it would appear a tad inappropriate.

Today I am discombobulated.

All day yesterday, I thought it was Saturday. What happened to Sunday?

The patient is not getting better. He has another scan early next month, but the wait after that for an initial appointment with the Specialist (a Neurologist) is twelve months.

Some good news though. I drove an infernal combustion vehicle (the Patient's car) for the first time in :scratch:about four years. Admittedly only around the local and very quiet streets.

Ideally I would be out in the garden, or doing interesting things. As many of you will know, looking after someone is very tiring.
