On Saturday I received a letter from the NHS to let me know that I would be receiving a bowel cancer screening test within the next 2 weeks - I didn't think you got that until you're 60th birthday an I'm not quite there yet.

You're not quite there yet,no and nor is the letter.it might take that long to deliver

Why do "quiet days" end up being busier than "busy days"

Ended up just having soup and a toastie for supper.

Seems 1-1 was the "score du jour" in the footy, five of today's matches finished with that scoreline. Ours shouldn't have done, the Brentford equalizer was offside. I thought VAR was supposed to put a stop to all this crap...

I've just pulled a panettone from the oven. Smells fabby.

It is slightly grey here .
I picked up another bike yesterday . A friend rang to ask if I wanted it as he would throw it out otherwise. Me and bikes is a bit like a stroll through Goose Grass! It is a white Carrera Virtuoso T6. So after picking it up I gave it a wash and polish , a bit of oil on the chain and air in the tyres . I changed the rear wheel for the one off my Zelos as when inturned round the air must have escaped! It was flat !
So off I went on my usual test run over to my brother's. It went well! I had to stay on the big chain ring . I'll have to look into that , but I managed the small hills without any trouble. Just got to find room now !

I have put another load of laundry on and brought back upstairs for me and the mister. Taking Hebe Jr out to the garden centre this morning if I can wake her up. I have to do some ironing today too.

I need to get up and out. Very grey out there this mornng. Another coffee and a banana and I'll get out on the bike.

Light cloud and a moderate wind so may just get myself together enough to get out triking.

Post on FB from somebody who has got a parcel delivered clearly labeled but not for them and they have no idea who it is for.
It is in fact for their next door neighbour.
Changed days when we knew everybody but now we are taken over by settlers who only mix with their own kind and know nobody else.

It's been extended to 50 -59 gradually over 4 years. Started in 2021.

I've moved, with management's permission, the calendar from the side of a kitchen wall unit to under the clock near the back door. I think it's much better there as the pen pot resides on a nearby ledge.

Co-Op have coughed up the 50p onto my card and actually said they have passed the issue of the non-working moble app voucher onto the appropriate team to resolve. Meanwhile having a battle with Nectar, somehow my Nectar card link with eBay became corrupted so that whilst basic points were being applied bonus ones were not and when I activated the last bonus offer instead of that being applied my card was unlinked. Must remember to take numerous screen shots if I use the 30x Nectar point offer midday for a hour on Tuesday.
