'Big up' for the workers; keeping this shambles of Nation (UK'ers) in Taxation monies 🥴

To be fair about 50% of my wages are from the Taxpayer. On the other hand, programmes of the kind we do are cheaper than the alternative.

Fair do's - and i'm far from knocking anyone's personal situation Andy. Its more the collective UK mantra that narks me. And where it actually all goes / if it's wisely and productively used. Me; i suspect not - if you hadn't guessed 🥴


We're just taxed to hell and back here. Wages; Tax for this and that from what you have left. Fuel Duty, Council Tax, Road Tax, VAT on goods that it really shouldn't apply to. And you'll get further taxed to hell should you then choose to enjoy yourself through smoking or drinking.

And if you do somehow miraculously manage to save any from what you might have left and put it into some sort of pension - you then get
taxed back again on receiving that.

The net percentage of all of that; that didn't involve a Tax of some sort must be "miniscule"............

They are talking about banning a song from rubbery matches because of the worms .
When you come to think about it a lot of the songs have sad lyrics yet they have very good melodies which we sing along to !

Some of the VAT is due to the Poll Tax fiasco . I also seem to remember them raising VAT on fuel way back when there was a fuel shortage .
Strange how these things are never taken off once the crisis is over .

Garden wildlife news .
I spotted a fresh set of feathers spread around our bird feeder this morning. I thought that they might have been from the previous incident so I went up the garden to check . They are fresh feathers , small and appear to be white with a tinge of grey on the tips . It might be from a White Dove that has escaped from its loft . I then went up to check up on our pond . No sign of any Frog activity. From there I went over to check up on the Hedgehog food . It had gone down a fair way so I filled it back up . On the way back to the house I noticed a big dollop of do's! It could be a Fox. We used to get one years ago but haven't seen one for a long time .

Today I am continuing with my epic clean out of my den, buying a houseplant, going swimming with a friend, and continuing my “not a will” document for Mr Hebe. It has all the contact details for plumber, sparkie, washing machine repairer etc, plus car Insurance, my bank account, direct debits and all the paid subscription apps on my phone. What to do with my cameras and instruments and so on. Two funerals in two weeks has made me look very hard at my own life admin.
