My plans for today went a bit wrong.
I meant to try a trike run since it was not raining but before that I noticed Royal Mail had extended the deadline for exchanging now out of date stamps. Downloaded the form and went out to post it and top up the car fuel tank.( 169.6p per litre for diesel).
Got waylaid by the distillery visitor centre manager as they seem remarkably ignorant about the recent history and they thought I also had a lot of photographs. I say had as I gave most to the local museum but still have negatives tho’ finding them could be a problem in my quite extensive collection.
Went home and reprinted out an account of recent early history which the museum should have somewhere and back down with this and had a long chat.
Lunch time and then rain started so not going out in that.

Had a lovely luncheon of a ham & mustard sandwich, plus a banana, a tangerine and two :cuppa:

Then re-stocked all the wood in the house bar kindling, bashed tatties for supper, made a batch of apple sauce and re-installed the print head in the printer after it s soaking in detergent, and gave it a trial run.

I seem to have lost the strange pink colour cast from yesterday morning, what's hampering it now is a lack of ink (especially black & yellow) and the fact that the entire works got flushed out. New ink cartridges have been ordered for £7.11 including postage.

Got the fire going, and now sat down with a :cuppa: and a chocolate cake bar thingy.

Is that someone in uniform with a pocket watch?

Afraid not, Lidl do not them! Must be the clock that has developed a fault as a digital one on the same time signal is the right time

Boy, paint takes miles longer to dry at the moment. Done some inside my garage, just went in to see if it's dry (done this morning) and now I have a black finger.

Depends what type of paint it is. How cold and how wet your garage is. Also how thickly the paint is applied.
There was a BS for all that.

Apart from that a walk in the park.

Negative numbers need massaging to get a square root.

Do keep up at the back.

Anyway, they cobbled together a solution. They said that the square root of negative numbers would have two parts.
There is the "real part" and the "virtual part".
It is a dreadful bodge but helps lots of equations and mathy things to work at our level of understanding. Sort of, until the great revelation when we will realise that decimal numbers were just to cope with the number of fingers and toes we have.

Use water only*, placing the printhead on plain tissue in the water. Anything added can dry out in the fine nozzles, blocking them further.

*Distilled water is the best option.
